With our app on Xbox One, we’re introducing a new feature for Showtime Anytime on the television, making it easy to marathon view series or resume programs where they left off. Additionally, you can select your favorite Showtime series, movies or boxing matches and “pin” them to their Xbox One Home screen.
Now’s the perfect time to download the Showtime Anytime app as we gear up for the premieres for the following three hit comedy series, coming Sunday, Jan. 11:
- “Shameless” – First up at 9 p.m. ET/PT, it’s the fifth season of “Shameless” starring Oscar nominee and Emmy winner William H. Macy as pickled patriarch Frank Gallagher and Golden Globe nominee Emmy Rossum as resilient daughter and Gallagher leader, Fiona. Season five finds the clan dealing with both the upside and downside of personal and urban renewal. As their neighborhood begins a move towards gentrifying, the Gallaghers begins to reconcile their chaotic past in the hopes of building a better future.
- “House of Lies” – Next, at 10 p.m. ET/PT, Oscar nominee Don Cheadle returns as Marty Kaan in the fourth season of ”House of Lies.” We last left a despondent Marty alone in the desert after a cataclysmic double-cross by Jeannie (Kristen Bell) and a visit by the Feds. This season, Marty’s brief stint in white collar prison left Jeannie to pick up the pieces of the now tainted Kaan & Associates with Clyde (Ben Schwartz) and Doug (Josh Lawson). Client flight decimated the bottom line, but Marty is a singular focus: winning, at any and all cost.
- “Episodes” – Finally, Matt LeBlanc is back as, well, Matt LeBlanc in the fourth season of “Episodes” at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT. He returns in his Emmy-nominated and Golden Globe Award-winning role as a fictionalized version of himself. This season, Matt faces a financial crisis and is forced to make some tough decisions. Matt being Matt, he will likely make the wrong ones. Sean (Stephen Mangan) and Beverly (Tamsin Greig) have been dragged back to L.A. to shoot more episodes of their disastrous sitcom “Pucks!” Meanwhile, their other project, “The Opposite of Us,” refuses to go away. And there’s a new network head who will, in all likelihood, make life more complicated for everyone.
